BUDGAM, JULY 01: District Development Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, today visited Rakh-e-Arth residential colony Bemina to assess the situation arisen due to prevailing inclement weather.
The DDC, who was accompanied by senior district officers, interacted with a number of public deputations to get a first-hand appraisal of their problems arising due to incessant rains during past few days.
She directed concerned to undertake strenuous efforts to resolve all genuine demands including water-logging and choking of drains and urged concerned to expedite and speed up work on the various ongoing developmental projects being executed by various agencies at the colony.
She also assured the residents that all of their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned for their redressal.
She passed directions to the concerned to ensure proper functioning of the drainage system, supply of uninterrupted water and electricity to the residents.
The DDC also assured the residents that the district administration and all other concerned agencies including LAWDA would continue to assess the situation to ensure all facilities are put in place for the dwellers.
She also directed concerned to arrange the supply of ration and other essentials including the opening of a dispensary for the residents. She also directed that boats and dewatering pumps be put in service for the clearance of inundated by-lanes for the hassle-free public movement.
