Srinagar, June 2: Thousands of people on Saturday attended funeral prayers of Kaisar Ahmad Bhat, a teenager who was mowed down by a paramilitary CRPF jeep at Nowhatta Srinagar yesterday.

Another youth, Mohammad Younis of Dalgate, who was also trampled under the jeep along with the Kiaser, has started to respond to the treatment and is stable, medical superintendent SKIMS Dr Farooq Jan told media.

According to eyewitness accounts, thousands of people took part in the funeral prayers of Kaisar at Fateh Kadal chowk. They said that police and paramilitary forces fired tear gas shells and pellets into the mourners at the chowk, injuring atleast ten of them.Thousand participate in funeral prayers of youth mowed down by CRPF jeep at Nowhatta
They said the body was later loaded onto a mini truck and driven to Eidgah where a second round of funeral prayers was held.
