With most of the city schools having declares summer vacation student look for different options to spend their summer holidays
with most productive outputs.Dance workshops and classes organised at various schools and institute are among the favourite ways for students to ease off during the summer vacation.Bharatnatyam,considered to be the mother art of most of the opposite classical dances of india has been gaining
due popularity quiet lately across many parts of the country including Chnadigarh.
Rahul Gupta a renowned dancer along with his wife Nandini Gupta and other group members has been working towards the resurgence of bharatnatyam
across the country and rather globally.
Rahul along with his team members is currently conducting dance workshop at various city school such as Carmel Convent School
Sector 9 and bhawan Vidyalaya Sector 27 Chandigarh
Rahul Said that parents of the city youth are very happy tht their kids are not totally in awe of western culture and are showing keen interest
in practsing Bharatnatyam.
Bharatnatyam classes are bing organised for both moring and evening slots of two hours easch at Carmel Convent School,whereas
classes dancee forms are held in the evening slot of two hours at Bhavan Vidyalaya.
Nandini Gupta who is a gradute in Bharatnatyam and trained in kalamandalam style from kerala along with other group members,train many city kids
in various forms of dance .Over 50 grils in the age group of 4-19 years are currently enrolled in bharatnatyam classes said rahul who has various
batches of 2o-25 kids going on at different time slots in the city school
