CRPF man, SPO injured in Anantnag grenade attack

A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man and a cop of Jammu and Kashmir police were injured in a militant attack in Anantnag town of this south Kashmir district on Friday.

Reports said that the militants hurled a grenade and opened fire at a CRPF post located outside a bank in Anantnag town.

They said that CRPF men retaliated, leading to a brief exchange of fire.

A CRPF man and a policeman were injured in the attack, they said. The injured were identified as Special police officer Mudasir Ahmad and Surinder Singh.
