SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 03: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Srinagar (JKAACL) released a poetic compilation ‘Silhouettes’ written by a young poetess Syed NawreenQadri here at today.
In a press release issued here, the function was presided over by Prof. ShafiShouq and Prof. Naseem Shafaiee was the chief guest on the occasion.
Chief Guest Prof Naseem Shafaiee congratulated JKAACL for organizing such a prestigious function aiming to promote various languages and to provide a platform for the youngsters.
In his presidential address, Prof ShafiShouq congratulated Syed NawreenQadri for his first attempt in the shape of a poetic compilation.
Earlier, in his welcome address Mohammad Ashraf Tak, Chief Editor JKAACL said that it is the endeavour of the Academy to provide a platform to young poets and this function is being organized in that context.
Basharat Shamim presented a thought providing a paper on the book.
The function was attended by a galaxy of writers including Rajesh Lal, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, AbdalMehjoor, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Dr Nazeer Azad, Shahnaz Rasheed, Salam- ud- Din Bajad, Shabnam Ashaiee, WaheedJeelani, Aslam Naqashbandi, OP Sharma, Shafi Ahmad and many more.
