BUDGAM, DECEMBER 03: Awareness camp cum orientation camp under PMMVY was today organized by Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project, Budgam here at Soibugh.
Child Development Project Officer Mohammed Azhar Lone, ACDPO Shaheen Rasool, Supervisors Health & Nutrition Mobilizer and various other field functionaries were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the officers said that PMMVY is a flagship scheme of Ministry of Women and Child, GOI and is aimed at providing financial help to the pregnant and lactating mothers.
Under the scheme, financial help of Rs 5000 is provided to the beneficiary for first live birth.
For registration under the scheme, the beneficiaries can seek assistance from Anganwadi Workers or local ANM / Ashas.
The officers said that many beneficiaries have already received benefits under the scheme and the field staff was asked to gear up and conduct home visits so that maximum beneficiaries are registered under the scheme.
