Srinagar, Oct 4: Kashmiri Language Union Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday staged a protest demonstration at press enclave in Srinagar demanding that government should make Kashmiri subject compulsory in schools.
The protesters said that Kashmiri subject must be compulsory at secondary level in government and private schools of Jammu and Kashmir. They also demanded creation of Rehbar-e-Zuban scheme on the pattern of Rehber-e-Taleem.
The unemployed qualified Kashmiri language aspirants chanted slogans in Kashmiri language and said that more than two thousand degree holders have been deprived by the administration.
The protesters threatened of going on a hunger strike if their demands are not met within 10 days.
