GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 04:- District Education Department Ganderbal organized a day-long enrolment drive here at Chattergul Payeen Kangan today.
The function was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, N.A Baba, Deputy Director School Education, Suriya Bano, SDM Kangan, Mehraj-U-Din, CEO Ganderbal, Gayas-U-Din, ZEOs, teachers, students and a large number of parents.
Zonal Education Officer Kangan, while addressing the gathering informed that the teachers of the Zone Kangan have admitted 1511 students up to middle standard in different schools of the Zone during door to door campaigning for enrolment of new students since the announcement made by Director School Education Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Surya Bano while addressing the gathering said that the education department has set a personal responsibility on their officials, to improve school enrolment. He said that entire staff has been stimulated to achieve the maximum results so that almost entire population especially school drop-outs is covered under the enrolment drive.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC N.A Baba appreciated the parents and school management for their outstanding performance during the drive. He urged the teachers to interact with the parents and highlight the importance of imparting education to the children.
Later, meritorious students were felicitated by the chief guest and distinguished personalities from different walks of life.
