Gunshots were heard during a cordon and search operation at Khur Batpora village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
Reports said gunshots were heard soon after government forces launched searches in the area.
Meanwhile, clashes erupted in the area as the forces launched the searches. A local said that the forces resorted to aerial firing to chase away stone-throwing protesters.
