Baramulla, Dec 5: A three-year-old girl died after drowning into a pit in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, official sources said here on Wednesday.
The girl, identified as girl Iqra Jan, was playing along with other children when she suddenly slipped and fell into a pit at Dardpora, Kupwara. However, during search, she was found in the pit and rushed to a hospital at Sogam, where she was declared brought dead.
The body was later handed over to her parents after conducting legal medical formalities, they said.
