Live Naked Death Lurking Unattended For It’s Prey In Chanapora, Concerned Officer Refuses Help Exhorting “Nap Time” Excuse
Naked death in the shape of a live electricity wire is hanging in the middle of the main lane, Omar colony Chanapora since late evening today, posing a grave danger to the commuters as well as the residents of the colony.
Local residents of the main lane , Omar colony , Chanapora told PAIGAAM correspondent that a high tension live electricity wire had somehow snapped leaving one side of the wire dangling from the electricity pole and the other end simply lying on the road. “It is a motorable path and being the main lane, lot many people use it, it is actually a very busy street” , said a middle aged man who runs a grocery store in the area. Hence it poses a great threat to the life of the commuters as well as the local residents as it can lead to an unfortunate fire incident, he further added.
What makes the situation even more serious is that there happens to be a mosque quite adjacent to this electricity pole and the dangling live wire, and people come to pray in this mosque early morning in the wee hours when the visibility is very poor. Local residents tried contacting the electricity department but could not get hold of any one.
Considering the gravity of the situation, some of the local youth reported the matter to the Chanapora police station and the duty officer called the concerned Junior Engineer responsible for the above mentioned spot requiring immediate attention.
To everyones utter shock and horror, the Junior Engineer refused to take notice of the situation and responded to the police duty officer’s call by saying that it was his sleep time and the matter could be resolved only in the morning.
The local residents told PAIGAAM that they have talked to a senior officer and informed him about the actual problem and the attitude of the concerned JE too. They further added that they are hopeful that the msg must have reached the appropriate authorities and in case the matter does not get resolved in some tine then they will have to approach the DC and inform him of the situation.
