An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 on Richter scale has struck Nicobar islands region around 10 am on Monday morning. As per the latest update, no Tsunami alert has been noticed, said media reports.

According to the National Centre for Seismology, the exact timing of the quake was 9:33pm at a depth of 10 km. The epicenter of the quake was Andaman Islands.
