Today students of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua visited the municipal council Kathua. Students learnt the various functions and power of municipal council. The children and teachers were welcomed warmly by the staff at the Municipal Council Kathua. Students got an opportunity to get practical knowledge from the executive officer and his staff. Students understood about the functioning of Municipal Council like :
Monitoring the Municipal administration.
Oversee provision of service of the community.
Supervise the civic amenities.
Over all it was a knowledge gaining visit as it was practical of the topic concerned to the Curriculum. Principal Mrs. Shuchita Gupta said that we believe in learning by doing. Such type of visits are always arranged for the holistic development of the children.
