SRINAGAR, JUNE 06 – A deputation of inhabitants of Dooru Shahabad constituency, headed by Ghulam Hassan Bhat called on Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta here today and highlighted several important issues/problems of the area.
The deputationists also submitted a memorandum of demands to the Deputy Chief Minster and requested for immediate resolution of these issues of public importance. The issues mostly related to the overall development of the area, including construction of Mini Secretariat in Dooru, construction/restoration of gutted building of tehsil office, transferring the administrative control of existing park from the PWD to Tourism Department for its better upkeep, removal of encroachments along the Shehl-e-Naag park, establishment of Courts of District & Sessions Judge at Dooru headquarters.
The other issues highlighted in the memoranda related to the strengthening of existing Fire & Emergency Services, proper fencing of forest area situated around residential areas to prevent man-animal conflicts, strengthening the tourism infrastructure, up-gradation of GDC hostel, road infrastructure and improving the health facilities with posting of more doctors and para-medics in the SDH, Dooru as per the flow of patients.
The Deputy Chief Minister while interacting with the members of the visiting delegation appreciated their concerns and urged them to constantly pursue the issues with the concerned authorities so that the directions are implemented on ground as per the aspirations of the people.
