Haryana Government has issued instructions regarding reservation in jobs for Eligible Sports Persons (ESP) for Group D posts.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the 10 per cent reservation for ESP in Group D posts would be compartmentalised horizontal reservation between Un-Reserved or General, Scheduled Castes (SC) and Backward Classes (BC) categories.
He said that the quantum of reservation would be two per cent for ESP (SC) and roster points would be 30 and 80. Similarly, the quantum of reservation would be two per cent for ESP (BC ‘A’) and roster points would be 32 and 74. In case of ESP (BC ‘B’), the quantum of reservation would be one per cent and roster points would be 63 and for ESP (Un-Reserved or General), the quantum of reservation would be five per cent and roster points would be 13, 31, 51, 71 and 91.
The spokesman said that in case, there remains shortfall in any of the compartmentalised groups mentioned, the same can be filled in the same recruitment from the other compartmentalised group and vice versa, that is, in case the vacancy remains in ESP (SC), same can be filled from ESP (Un-Reserved or General) or any other group as per availability and merit of the eligible candidate so that the 10 per cent quota for ESP can be filled.
He said that rest of the instructions issued vide General Administration Department letter dated April 6, 2018 would continue as such.
A written communication in this regard has been sent to all the Administrative Secretaries, Head of Departments, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioner, Sub Divisional Officers (Civil), Managing Directors, Chief Administrators of Boards, Corporations and Public Sector Undertakings, Registrar General of Punjab and Haryana High Court and Registrars of all Universities in the State.
