Samba KVK starts vocational training for women

SAMBA, DECEMBER 06: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Samba today begin six-month vocational training programme in stitching and tailoring here for local women at village Mawa.

The training being held in collaboration with Seema Jankalyan Samiti will continue till 04.05.2019.

At the inaugural function, Dr. Vinod Gupta, I/c Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Samba, discussed the mandate and functions of the KVK. He said KVK is an institute for the development of rural community and asked the staff to work in coordination to make the people aware about the various projects of the Kendra. He guided the participants how SHGs are furitfull for increasing the income of family and gaining decision making power. He added that the provision of small financial services to the rural people through bank linkages of SHGs have contributed to the process of rural development.
