Bandh assumes office as Minister for Agriculture
Inspects various sections of Agriculture Deptt in Civil Secretariat
SRINAGAR, MAY 07: On the opening of bi-annual Darbar Move here today, Minister for Agriculture Production, Mohammad Khalil Bandh, assumed the charge of the Agriculture Ministry.
On the occasion, people from different walks of life called on the Agriculture Minister and felicitated him on assuming the office.
Meanwhile, Administrative Secretary Agriculture and Head of Departments of Agriculture, Command Area Development and Sericulture briefed the Minister about the organization and functional details of their respective departments.
A delegation of Non-Gazetted Secretariat Employees Union led by its President Ghulam Rasool Mir also met the Minister and felicitated him for assuming the office.
Later, Bandh inspected various sections of Agriculture Department in Civil Secretariat and interacted with the employees, who apprised him of their grievances. The Minister assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into.
Interacting with the staff members, the Minister asked them to work with utmost dedication and deliver their services with due diligence and honesty.
The Minister said that agriculture is the top priority of the
government as it is the key sector which can transform the economic scenario of the state.
