Pakistani actress cum singer Reshma was allegedly shot dead by her husband in Nowshera Kalan area of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per reports, Reshma, who was the fourth wife, used to live with her brother at the city’s Hakimabad area. It has been revealed by the cops that Reshma’s husband entered the house and started firing at his wife, following a domestic dispute. He then managed to escape the crime scene.
A probe is underway to ascertain the culprit.
Reportedly, this is the 15th such incident of violence which has been registered against female artists in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year. Prior to this, stage actress Sumbul was shot dead on February 3 this year after she repeatedly refused to accompany the accused to a private party.
Reshma was known for her Pashto songs and had also acted in the famous Pakistani drama ‘Zhobal Goluna’.
