JAMMU, AUGUST 09: A joint team of State Pollution Control Board and Traffic Police today fined seventeen cars for not having Pollution under Control Certificates (PUC).
The team intercepted 50 cars here at Vikram Chowk and challaned 17 of them as these were found plying without PUC.
The SPCB has intensified checking of vehicles after noticing reluctance of new SUV Car owners in obtaining PUC, an official said.
The Board has decided to conduct regular checking of vehicles at all intersections of Jammu district.
