UDHAMPUR,9 MAY: Anganwari workers today staged a protest in front of PO office Udhampur, Jammu. They have been demanding a hike in salary for the last 94 days. At present an anganwari worker is paid a meager amount of Rs. 600 only per month. The protesting workers accused the govt. of presenting a deaf ear to their demands. The anganwari workers association warned that if their demands are not met then they will be forced to intensify their struggle.
