On 10.06.2018, on the basis of specific information, NCB Chandigarh Zonal Unit mounted surveillance at Bus Stand I.S.B.T. Sector-43, Chandigarh and seized 4.960 Kgs. of Charas and arrested two persons namely Noor Khan S/o Nawab Khan, Resident of Kolkata and a lady namely Shakuntla Devi R/o Manali, H.P. On preliminary enquiry, it is revealed that Shakuntla Devi is involved in smuggling of Charas from last 3-4 years. The source of the contraband is Manali (H.P.) and destination was Kolkata. The accused are booked by NCB Chandigarh Crime No. 24/2018 dated 10.06.2018. Further investigation is under process.
