Rajouri: Aijaz chairs maiden review meeting

RAJOURI JULY 10: Mohammad Aijaz, today reviewed the working of line departments while chairing his maiden meeting after assuming the office as District Development Commissioner, Rajouri.

The DC asked development departments to bring in notice of District Administration bottlenecks impending execution of developmental projects for their early removal.

Issuing strict instructions for maintaining punctuality in offices, he asked the department heads to fix time for listening to the public grievances.

Referring to the government circular for biometric attendance system, the DDC directed the departments to ensure compliance to the orders.

The DDC also took overview of functioning of different departments and passed necessary directions for adhering to timeline in completion of targets/projects.

While reviewing PHE sector, he laid emphasis on rain water harvesting to meet the shortage in water stressed areas. He impressed that a prototype be formulated by identifying shadow areas for effective rain water harvesting by involving all stakeholders.

He directed the XEN Mechanical (PHE) to submit, within two days, a detailed proposal for replacement of worn out machinery, procurement of new machinery and setting up of a workshop for repairing damaged machinery.

The DFO was asked to prepare a comprehensive plan for establishing forest street/city forest for hosting all indigenous plants at a single place.
