POONCH, MAY 10: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz , convened a meeting of District Officers, representatives of Civil Society and heads of various religious organisations to finalize the arrangements for the holy month of Ramadan, here today.
The DDC directed PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply and avoid curtailment during Iftaar, Sehri and Traavi time in all parts of the District. Besides, PHE was also directed to ensure regular supply of clean drinking water to the people.
FCS &CAs was directed to ensure sufficient availability of ration at all depots in the district within three days.
The DDC asked Municipal council to ensure cleanliness and proper lighting especially in and around the Mosques.
It was also decided in the meeting that FCS & CA, Revenue, Legal Meteorology and food safety departments shall keep a regular check on the quality of essential commodities by regular inspections to curb food adulteration , profiteering and black marketing.
Among others the meeting was attended by Addl. SP Anwar-ul-Haq, ACR Bashir Ahmed Lone besides representatives of different departments.
