DC reviews preparations for Child Screening Camp at Batalik
Camp to be organized at GHSS Silmoo on May 15
KARGIL, MAY 8: Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil, Vikas Kundal, today reviewed arrangements for the Child Screening Camp to be held under centrally sponsored scheme Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) in Batalik area.
The camp is being organized by the Health Department Kargil under the aegis of National Health Mission (NHM) to provide free screening and treatment facilities to the children up to the age of 18 years for defects at birth, deficiency-related diseases, developmental delays and disabilities.
The Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Dr Ibrahim Khan, informed the meeting that the camp is scheduled to be organized on May 15, adding that around 800 children from 0 to 18 years of Batalik area shall be screened at Government Higher Secondary School Silmoo.
The DC while reviewing the arrangements for the screening camp directed all concerned officers to gear up for necessary preparations well in time so that the camp is organized in the best possible manner. He directed the CMO to deploy advance teams to ensure timely arrangements so as to avoid any kind of disturbance or rush.
Issues like deployment of magistrates and police personnel, cleanliness of the venue and adjoining places, drinking water facilities, transport facilities for children to be screened, media coverage of the event and other related issues also came up for discussion on the occasion. The concerned officers were instructed ensure proper arrangements.
Programme Officer ICDS, Executive Engineer PHE, Assistant Director Information, District Education Planning Officer and other concerned officers also attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the DC also took stock of shifting of EVM warehouse and strong room of the district.
