BUDGAM, OCTOBER 11: A preparatory meeting to give final shape to the arrangements put in place for conducting ensuing legal services camp in Budgam was convened here today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam Khursheed Ahmad Shah.
The meeting among others was also attended by CPO, all SDMs, and other concerned District and sectoral officers.
While speaking during the meeting the ADC said that mega camp to be held on 28.10.2018 is expected to witness a large gathering of people including beneficiaries. He said it will be mandatory for all concerned departments to install their individual stalls where each department has to display the demonstration of the services they are providing under Public Services Guarantee Act (PSG) and other beneficiary schemes to the people.
He urged upon all the concerned heads to prepare a consolidated list of 40 to 50 beneficiaries who deserve and qualify to be provided free legal services and other guaranteed benefits envisaged through various schemes run by respective departments. The ADC said, the main focus of conducting such legal service camps on a large scale is to facilitate free basic legal services to the poor and underprivileged people who apart from lacking any approach cannot afford to spend their meager income to obtain such benefits.
