Raje leads, 4 BJP ministers trail in Rajasthan

Jaipur, December 11: Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is leading in her home constituency of Jhalarapatan, while her four cabinet ministers Arun Chaturvedi, KC Saraf, Otaram Devasi, and Prabhulal Saini are trailing behind their Congress rivals.

BJP sitting MP Col Sonaram Choudhary is trailing in Barmer constituecy by 1,944 votes. Raje is leading by 4,055 votes against Congress’s Manvendra Singh, son of former External Affairs minister Jaswant Singh.

After the first round of counting, Congress candidates are leading on 42 seats, while BJP on 31, Independents 7, and 3 others at 9.40 am, according to the CEO.
Raje, who went to Tripura Sinduri in Banswar district to offer prayers, is leading in Jhalarpatan, while Ashok Gehlot is leading in Sardarpura and Sachin Pilot in Tonk.

Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot have stay put at their residences watching poll results on TV.
