New Delhi, November 12: A doctor was found murdered in his house at Jahangirpuri in north-west Delhi on Monday.

He was alone at home as his daughter, a schoolteacher, had gone to school around 7.30 am.
The daughter was sounded, police said.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Aslam Khan, the police control room received a call around 10.30 am that a man was in an unconscious state. Soon a police team reached the spot and the man identified as Dr Mukim was found dead on the bed.

“Prima facie, there were no injury marks on the body. The door was open. An almirah was found ransacked. The FSL team is at the spot gathering evidence and has taken the CCTV footage of the area,” the DCP said.

Things would become clear after the post-mortem, he said.
