An army soldier was killed and another injured in a fresh incident of firing along the Line of Control in Mendhar area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Reports said the incident is believed to be a sniper attack from across the LoC.
As per initial details, both the soldiers were posted at a forward post along LoC where they sustained injury in gunfire and later one of them succumbed.
The other injured soldier has been hospitalised.
