RAMADAN ARRANGEMENTS REVIEWED IN UDHAMPUR

UDHAMPUR, MAY 12:- Arrangements for Holy Month of Ramzan were today discussed at a meeting of line departments chaired by District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar held here at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex Udhampur.

A committee comprising AD FCS &CA, CEO MC, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Food Safety Officer, and Tehsildar was constituted to keep check on the quality and prices of the eatables during the Holy month.  Besides, AD FCS & CA was asked to ensure sufficient supply of ration. The DDC further directed CEO MC to ensure cleanliness around the major mosques.

The meeting discussed arrangements for water and power supply and asked the concerned departments to provide uninterrupted power supply to mosques, especially during the early morning and evening hours.

Regarding the security arrangements, senior Police functionaries were  asked to make additional deployment at all the religious places.

Meanwhile, SDMs were directed to hold similar meetings in their respective sub-divisions to make adequate arrangements  before the commencement of Ramzan.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Arvind Sharma, Additional Development Commissioner, Krishan Lal, GM DIC, Suram Chand Sharma, PO ICDS, Rimpy Ohri, Sub Divisional Magistrate Chenani, Davinder Sharma, SDM Basantgarh, Attar Chand, Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, Chief Medical Officer, Dr K.C Dogra, CEO, J.R Bhardwaj, Chief Executive Officer Municipality, Santosh Kotwal, and District Officers of various department besides civil society members.
