RAJOURI : DISTRICT ADMIN LISTENS TO PEOPLE’S ISSUES AT GHAMBIR, MANJAKOTE

RAJOURI MAY 12: District Administration, Rajouri today conducted public grievance redress camps here at Ghambir Mughlan, Gluti, Moryan, Patrara, Ghambir Brahmna and Manjakote and listened to the issues of locals.

The camps were attended by Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, PO ICDS Abdul Rashid, ACD Akhter Hussain Qazi, ACR Qayoom Mir, DPO Dr Abdul Khabir, ExEn PHE Nissar Khan, ExEn PDD MunshI Khan, ExEn I&FC Sushil Koul, ExEn PMGSY, DSWO Naseeb Ahmed,  Tehildar  Sheraz Ahmed, SDPO Manjakote Dr Imtiaz and other officers.

At Ghambir Mughlan, the people raised various developmental demands including improvement of road from Patrara to Ghambir Mughlan, additional road connectivity, construction of compound walls of schools, augmentation of water supply including installation of hand pumps, establishment of centres and provision of infrastructure in schools.

The DDC directed for early start of blacktopping on Ghambir Mughlan road, completion of Dak Bungalow, development of water supply sources and supply lines. He also directed for starting tourism promotion projects and other vital infrastructure in Ghambir Mughlan, Hattan Seri and Manjakote. He also inspected PMGSY road at Patrara.

Similar meetings were held at Ghambir Brahmna, Gluti, Moryan and Patrara  where issues related to various sectors were discussed and resolved. A number of projects related to water supply, tourism, education and welfare were discussed. The DDC also inspected a number of completed and ongoing developmental works in Ghambir and Manjakote area.

The DDC also handed over cheque of Rs 75000 as financial assistance to a cancer patient which included Rs 50000 contributed by officers of district administration and Rs 25000 donation from NGO J&K Human Development Forum.

Public demands were projected by civil society citizens including Farooq Alam, Mohammad Wazir, Shafayet Khan, Moulvi Jameel, Saleem Naz Mugal, Ayaz Ahmed Mughal, Mohd Sayeed Mughal, a representative of NGO J&K Human Development Forum, Haji Abdul Rashid, Mohd Bashir, and Abdul Ghani. Tehsildar Manjakote Sheraz Ahmed conducted the proceedings.

The DDC asked the public to constitute developmental committees involving people from all the walks of life for better coordination with administration and departments in implementation of decisions taken in today’s meetings. The coordination committee for Manjakote zone will hold meeting with district administration once in every fortnight.

Later the DDC inspected Primary Health Centre Ghambir Mughlan, interacted with patients and took stock of facilities being provided to patients.
