Nearly 50 percent votes polled in Uri municipal corporation till 11am

Nearly 50 per cent votes were polled in Municipal Corporation Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district until 11am in the third phase of ongoing municipal polls.

An official said that 1724 votes out of a total 3552 were polled until 11am. “This includes 922 male and 802 female votes,” he said.

However, voters mostly stayed away from the polling booths in rest of wards in Srinagar, Baramulla and Bandipora districts.
Brisk polling was however recorded in Samba area of Jammu division.
