Security Forces launch CASO in North Kashmir’s Kupwara, militants suspected

Security forces on Saturday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Halmatpora forests of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports said that a joint team of army’s 41RR and Special Operations Group (SOG) cordoned off Chek Fateh Khan forests in Halmatpora.

An army official said that the searches in the area have been launched following suspicious movement.

SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar Dinkar confirmed that the forces launched a search operation in the woods, reported media.

Earlier on Wednesday, One militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in the forest area of Kupwara district,

An Indian Army Commando was also Martyred in the Operation.
