Hurrriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Thursday afternoon left for north Kashmir’s Sopore to visit his eldest daughter whose husband passed away on Tuesday.
Reports said Geelani, who is undergoing house detention, was allowed to move towards Sopore to visit his aggrieved daughter.
They said that Geelani left around 1 pm from his Hyderpora residence-cum-office.
Geelani’s eldest son-in-law, Ghulam Hassan Makhdhoomi passed away at a hospital in Srinagar on Tuesday after remaining admitted there for a week.
