The precincts of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu was filled with exhilaration and savour on the occasion of ANNUAL SPORTS MEET ‘UDAAN’ wherein our endeavor to give experiential learning came into life. The much awaited and cardinal event of the year was on 15.12.18 for primary wing. We conceive in flying high but at the same time remaining humble and meek. So with the same intend and endeavour the Annual Sports meet was consecrated in the presence of Mr.Rahul Malik (IPS) SSP Security, J&K as Chief Guest who is one of the eminent personalities, Mr.Rayees Mohammad Bhat (IPS) SSP Udhampur as Guest of honour a well acclaimed persona, Mr.Shailender Mishra(IPS) as Special Guest, Ms.Shweta Thakur (International Judo Player) & Mr.Pankaj Malhotra(Played International Test Match in Indian team &won Gold medal) were also present on the event as Special Invitees. Chairperson Mr.Harpreet Singh Anand along with other members from management also graced the occasion.
Camaraderie, never giving up and overcoming ones drawbacks are inoculated among students in the grounds of school. The event began with the welcome address bequeathed by head girl of the school Ms.Rohini Sharma followed by balloon releasing ceremony to mark the commencement of the event. As a tradition of the school and a mark of green drive saplings were presented to the dignitaries. No event can be accomplished without the blessings from Lord so to invoke blessings an enthralling synchronization was presented by Sanskritians in the form of Ganesh Vandna. Sub sequentially the OLYMPIC LIGHT was lightened by our sports captain who manifested the ignition of fire to achieve the goals. Ensuing this the Annual Report was consolidated by Principal cum Vice Chairperson Ms Rohini Aima who while addressing the stakeholders asserted that in the journey of five years we have achieved and accomplished many herculean goals which would have been impossible without the support of Management and staff. Opulence of sports activities like hurdle race, frog jump, sports theme dance, tug of war, yoga performance aerobics, ribbon dance were perceptible during the event.
Meritorious students in various fields of Sports & Games were felicitated with Trophies & medals by the Chief Guest ,Guest of Honour & Special invitees.
Chief Guest Mr.Rahul Malik(IPS) in his address appreciated the spectacular show put up by the students. It is pertinent to mention that the spirit and vehemence of the small children were like carving a niche which was adored by Chief Guest who in his address emboldened the children for following and adopting the same rule in life. The day was concluded with the vote of thanks conveyed by Ms Varuna Mangotra (Primary Wing Coordinator). Annotating on the occasion Principal cum Vice Chairperson of the school Ms Rohini Aima evinced that apart from promoting strong academic achievement, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu nurtures the talents and skills among children which encourages the wholesome participation in the extensive range of extracurricular activities to ensure the well being of our children.
