Srinagar, July 14: Yasin Malik, the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) was released by the security forces on Saturday after detention of almost ten days, according to the party spokesperson of JKLF.
In a statement that was released by the JKLF through its spokesperson the party said that during this period of detention Yasin Malik was not allowed visits from his family, relatives oe friends and even the party members members were not allowed to meet him.
The statement read that Martyrs’ Day was observed across the globe on July 13 and JKLF leaders and activists living in various parts of the world held protest demonstrations against “gross human rights violations” in Jammu Kashmirby the govt. and security forces.
In the statement, JKLF has also expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of Ahqan Ahmad Reshi and Manan A Sofi of Batamaloo Srinagar, the two innocent boys who lost their lives in the recent unfortunate accident.
“JKLF shares the pain and agony of the bereaved families and prays for their Sabr-i-Jamil,” the statement issued by JKLF read while showing solidarity with the bereaved families.
