New Delhi: A few days after two women, including Sona Mohapatra, accused singer-composer Kailash Kher of sexual misconduct, singer Varsha Singh Dhanoa, in a long video which she posted online, alleged that Kher had relentlessly pursued her, even though she made it clear that she didn’t appreciate the gesture. She also accused music director Toshi of forcing himself upon her in a drunken state.

Speaking of Kailash Kher, Dhanoa claimed that the singer-composer kept messaging her after she got acquainted with him and even told her that he wanted to make love to her. “Mujhe tumse pyaar karna hai,” Dhanoa quoted Kher as saying. Post that incident, Shanoa said she never met him again. She also requested that the singer’s Padma Shri award be taken back.

In the same video, Varsha also accused music composer Toshi of sexual misconduct. The singer said that she had met Toshi in hope to get a chance at the music industry. She said that he asked Dhanoa to consume liquor and even put his hand on her thigh. When she told him that she didn’t appreciate the actions, Toshi said how could he got upset just by the action.

Toshi then asked her to go to the studio, where he bolted the door. When she asked him why nobody was there, Toshi assured her that he has received msgs that they will come. While they were waiting for other people to come, Toshi allegedly made sexual advances but she resisted him saying she was engaged.

A few days ago, singer Sona Mohapatra accused Kailash Kher of sexual misconduct, claiming he once placed his hands on her thigh. “I met Kailash for coffee in Prithvi Café to discuss a forthcoming concert where both our bands were playing and after the usual, a hand on my thigh with lines like, ‘You’re so beautiful’, ‘Feel so good that a musician got you not an actor’. I left not soon after,” Mohapatra wrote.

Mohapatra is married to musician Ram Sampath. She said it did not deter Kher. “On landing in Dhaka and on my way to the venue with the organisers, keeps calling me and when I don’t pick up, calls the organisers phone to get through to me and asks me to ‘skip’ the soundcheck and join him in his room instead to ‘catch up’.

Kher, however, denied all the allegations and said that he is neither aware nor remembers the incident and respects humanity especially women.
