RAMBAN OCTOBER 17: A Model Legal Literacy Club (MLLC) was today inaugurated by the Sub Judge, Batote, Arvind Sharma here at the Government Higher Secondary School Batote.
The MLLC established by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ramban under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority aims at to educate and empower the students about their legal rights and give them a medium to highlight their grievances.
A teacher, Zunera Farooq of the same school nominated by the DLSA in cooperation with the local Para Legal Volunteers would help the needy students in this mission.
A computer and some legal and academic books alongwith a steel almirah was also donated to the school by the DLSA.
Principal of the school, Jagjit Singh, advocates, ZD Babar, PB Katoch, staff members of the JM1C, Batote, teachers and students were also present on the occasion.
