Vij orders FIRs in 6 cases at panel meet

Kaithal, December 16: Health Minister Anil Vij has directed the authorities to register FIRs in six cases of the 12 complaints disposed of during the monthly grievances committee meeting.

Jagjeet Singh of Cheeka alleged that illegal trade had been flourishing under the patronage of Guhla MLA Kulwant Bajigar. The legislator, who was present, refuted the charges.

A liquor trader alleged that the complainant had been obstructing business by levelling false complaints. He alleged that the complainant had demanded Rs 20 lakh for allowing liquor trade to be run smoothly.

The minister asked the trader to submit a complaint. He then directed the police to lodge an FIR and investigate the bribe demand complaint.

Neelam Rani of Matour village lodged a complaint that her husband had been injured in an attack by youths of the same village.

The minister ordered that the youths named in the complaint be booked and arrested. He directed the SP to investigate the case.

He directed the CMO to initiate action against the private hospital for not informing the police after the injured was admitted.

Disposing of a case pertaining to land acquisition compensation, Vij directed registration of a case against the notary who had attested the affidavit and three others who had identified the deponent.

The affidavit had been attested in 2008, as stated by Gurdas Saini of Amargarh Colony, son of the deponent, though his father had died in 1994.

The minister ordered the registration of a case against a ration depot holder for demanding Rs 800 from a consumer, Gaze Singh of Balbehra village.

On the complaint of Sat Pal Saini of Nand Singh Wala village, he ordered lodging of an FIR against the area drug inspector. If the complaint was found false, action should be taken against the complainant, he added.

Disposing of a complaint by Jinder of Kheri Sherkhan of Kalayat against a field officer of the SBoP for demanding 10 per cent bribe on loan amount, he ordered lodging of an FIR.
