DDC Jmu reviews functioning of Rural Development Department

JAMMU, DECEMBER 17: District Development Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today convened a meeting of sectoral officers, engineers and other field functionaries to review the development activities under various schemes of Rural Development Department.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Aijaz Qaisar, District Panchayat Officer, Sunaina Saini besides all Block Development Officers and concerned field functionaries of the district.

The BDOs briefed the DDC about the overall development and progress achieved under various schemes.

While reviewing PMAY, DDC directed BDOs for completion of registrations and sanction process in their respective blocks. He asked them to ensure inclusion of left out beneficiaries under various schemes by the end of December.

DDC took strong notice of low performance in some indicators under MGNREGA like man days generation, FTO, Geo tagging etc. and directed the officers to achieve the targets with in a week’s time.

The DDC asked the BDOs to conduct meetings with VLWs and complete the targets in a time bound manner.

Meanwhile, the DDC reviewed progress on preparation of labour budget, GPDP,SBM, SLRM and construction of Anganwari centers.
