Deputy Commissioner, S Rajinder Singh Tara today reviewed the implementation of Juvenile Justice Act and Rules here at the meeting of Juvenile Justice Board of the district.
Issues related to children in conflict with law and children in need of care and protection were discussed with the concerned departments.
Among others present in the meeting were SSP, Chairman JJB Samba, PO-ICDS, CMO, CEO, ASP, DSWO, CDPOs, Police Officials, members of JJB and CWC and representatives of various NGOs.
The DC emphasised upon the participating functionaries and officers to ensure implementation of Juvenile Justice Act and Rules in letter and spirit. He further directed for creation of mass awareness about this Act and for this he asked to involve Nambardars, chowkidars and local representatives at village level.
Earlier, the Chairman Juvenile Justice Board Samba Mubarak Singh briefed thoroughly on the Juvenile Justice Act and Rules. He directed to form sub committees at block and Panchayat levels for better implementation of this Act.
PO ICDS gave a detailed presentation on the Juvenile Justice Act and Rules through a power point.
