Kashmir: The government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Samboora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

A police official said that Jammu Kashmir Police, 50 RR of Indian Army and CRPF laid a siege around Samboora village and launched door to door searches.

“The operation was launched following a tip off about the presence of militants in the area,” he said.

However the joint team had not achieved any success on the tip off till the last reports came in.
