The skies opened up on Wednesday in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali and it rained misery on the roads. The water accumulated on the roads made traffic move at a snail’s pace.
The rain started around 12 pm, and in two hours most tricity roads, especially the roundabouts, were flooded with knee-deep water.
Vehicular traffic was badly hit as several vehicles broke down on the flooded roads.
