POONCH, JULY 18: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav flagged off the first batch of 129 Haj pilgrims here from district headquarter complex. The pilgrims left in SRTC buses to Srinagar from where they will board flight for Jeddah.
Also present on the occasion were MLA Shah Mohammad Tantray, SSP Rajiv Pandey, ADC Basharat Hussain, Administrator Auqaf Riaz Aatish, other officers and family member of Hajis.
The DDC congratulated the pilgrims and extended his best wishes for successful completion of the pilgrimage. He also requested them to pray for peace at borders and overall prosperity of the state.
He informed that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to facilitate the pilgrims ontheir way to holy pilgrimage. They were advised to contact district administration for all kinds of logistic support.
