SHOPIAN: Owais Ahmed today assumed the charge as District Development Commissioner, Shopian with a promise to ensure that administration will be accessible to common people and sensitive towards their needs and requriements.
Soon after joining, Owais Ahmed took an introductory meeting with all the officers of the district and stressed upon the concerned officers to execute the ongoing works within stipulated time frame and without any delay to create durable and tangible assets of public utility for sustainable development. The officers were asked to work with added zeal and dedication and in close coordination for the development of the district. He further said that any laxity in this regard shall be dealt strictly.
DDC also directed all the officers to immediately install biometric attendance devices so that the online monitoring of the staff is ensured. The late-arriving staff members were warned of strict action and were asked to reach office on time maintaining punctuality and discipline in future. He also directed the officers not to leave the station without prior permission and to maintain the movement registers for the tours and field visits.
DDC later also paid a visit to the mini secretariat and visited various district offices located in the mini secretariat complex
