Burglar’s bid to loot Bank at Narbal foiled: Police

Srinagar: Police foiled the burglars attempt to loot the J&K Bank branch Narbal in central Kashmir’s Budgam district during the previous night, sources said.

Station Head Officer (SHO) Police post Narbal Wilayat Hussain told media that the attempt of burglars was foiled by the alert police men during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.

“The burglars broke the windowpanes from the back side of the bank and barged inside,” he said.

However, the alert police guards raised alarm and foiled their attempt, he added.

“No loss of money was reported yet,” Wilayat said adding, preliminary investigation was going on.
