Governer on Tuesday directed release of August salary of state government employees before Eid-ul-Aiza
An official spokesman said the directions were issued to the Finance department “keeping the needs of the employees in mind.”
Governer also directed that monthly dues be also disbursed among SSA teachers, contractual and ad-hoc employees as well before Eid so that they also can celebrate the festive occasion without any difficulty,” the spokesman said.
Late in the evening, the Government ordered that the salary of government employees for August 2018 shall be drawn and disbursed to them on August 21.
“The treasury officers are directed to receive the salary bill for August 2018 up to 6 pm on August 20, 2018. The Bills received up to the time and date mentioned will be disbursed on August 21,” an order issued by the General Administration Department said.
The order further states that on August 21only those bills, received till previous evening, will be entertained for disbursement.
Meanwhile, the employees of Civil Secretariat expressed gratitude to the Governor for releasing the salary of August month before the Eid-ul-Aiza.
In a statement, Chairman, Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee, Ghulam Rasool Mir hailed the Governor for “being sensitive to the needs and problems of the employees and prioritizing them for early redressal.” He said today’s direction of early release of salary in favour of the employees, particularly SSA teachers, contractual and adhoc, so that they can celebrate the occasion without any difficulty “reflects the commitment of the Governer to extend a helping hand to people of the State.”
The CSNGEU President also thanked the Advisor B B Vyas and Commissioner Secretary Finance Navin Choudhary for the same and putting the directions of the Governer into action.
