A speeding lorry crushed a pedestrian to death in Chatoosa village of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Jabbar War (70), son of Ghulam Mohammad War.
A police official said a manhunt has been launched to nab the erring driver who fled from the spot after the accident.
A case has been lodged under relevant sections of the law.
The body of the deceased was handed over to his kin after medico-legal formalities, he said.
