PDP expels Peer Hussain, Basharat Bukhari from party’s basic membership

Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled its top two leaders, Peer Muhammad Hussain and former minister Syed Bashrat Bukhari from the party’s basic membership on charges of anti-party activities.
The party has also removed Mehboob Iqbal from the key position of General Secretary.

The decision to expel has been taken soon after reports suggested that the two PDP leaders are mulling to join NC on Wednesday.

Talking to media PDP vice president, Abdul Rehman Veeri said, “The party has expelled Peer Muhammad Hussain and Syed Basahrat Bukhari from the basic membership of the party on charges of anti-party activities. The oparty has also removed Mehboob Iqbal, the party General Secretary from the position he was holding.”
