Militants on Tuesday night attacked a paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

A police official said that the militants fired a UBGL grenade at the CRPF camp housing 183 BN near railway station in Kakapora around 10:20 pm.

“The grenade attack was followed by indiscriminate firing by the militants” he said, adding that the CRPF personnel also retaliated.

However, according to the official, there was no immediate report of any loss of life or injuries.

Soon after the attack the entire area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers, he said.
This is the second attack on CRPF in past 24 hours. Last night militants attacked a CRPF camp in Newa area of the district, leaving one CRPF man injured.
