Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar reviews arrangements for Republic Day

KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 19: Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, today reviewed arrangements for Republic Day 2019 celebrations in the district at an officers meeting here today.

During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held with regard to all necessary arrangements to be put in place for smooth and successful celebration of this years’ Republic Day.

The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Rajinder Kumar Gupta, ADDC, Kishtwar Imam Din, ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, officers of CRPF, CISF, Army, Education, RDD, Forest, Youth Services and Sports, Municipality, PHE, R&B, PDD etc. besides other concerned departments. Also, the officers of NHPC, AFCONs and JP PakalDool.

Deputy Commissioner issued necessary directions to the concerned officers to ensure that all arrangements including security, transport, sanitation, drinking water facility, power supply, medicare facilities, barricading, refreshment are put in place in time.He further enjoined upon the officers to work in tandem and maintain close coordination for better results.

Deputy Commissioner stressed for fool proof security arrangements, parking, clean drinking water facilities, uninterrupted power supply, illumination of government buildings and proper seating arrangements for smooth conduct of the Republic day celebration.

It was decided in the meeting that flag hoisting ceremony will be held at Chowgan Kishtwar followed by March past by the contingents of CRPF, CISF, J&K Police and NCC. Besides, cultural programmes will also be presented by the artists of Cultural Academy as well as school children.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also directed the SDMs and Tehsildars of the various Sub Divisions, Tehsils and Niabats in the district to put in place timely arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day in their respective jurisdictions.
